I was born in the UK, then I moved to West Africa at age six. I was born with a condition called high myopia which is an extreme case of short-sightedness. Unfortunately; this meant I was bullied and highly disciplined by teachers when I was in school.

Eventually, my mother decided to open a restaurant in West Africa and I used this opportunity to leave school, (due to the severe bullying) and spent every day in the restaurant with my mother until the age of 17. This is where my love for cooking came from!

Fast forward to my very early 20s, I moved back to the UK and continued my a passion for the food industry by working in catering and I must say I was really quite good at this!
