I did catering for over 15 years. Prior to that, my mum had a restaurant back in West Africa that I helped out throughout most of my teenage years. This is where most of my catering ideas came from, which is how I managed to gain the experience that I have today to run this successful, tasty food business.
Very spicy! We rate it 5 out of 5 for heat. It features scotch bonnet peppers that deliver a slow-building, intense burn. If you're sensitive to spice, start with a small amount (1-2 teaspoons) and work your way up.
It's tangy and pungent with sweet apricot undertones. The garlic provides aromatic depth, while the scotch bonnet adds fierce heat. Customers describe it as "sweet, hot, and tangy" with a "friendly and welcoming" start that builds to serious fire.
It's incredibly versatile! Use it as a marinade for chicken wings, top burgers and sandwiches, drizzle over salads, mix into wraps, or serve as a dipping sauce for chips and nuggets. It works with chicken, beef, lamb, eggs and tofu.
It's vegetarian friendly but not vegan, as it contains ingredients processed in a facility that handles dairy and eggs. However, the sauce itself contains no meat products.
Unopened, it lasts until the best-before date on the bottle. Once opened, store in the refrigerator and use within 3 months for optimal flavour. Always close tightly after use.
Yes, it contains soy and celery. It's also produced in a kitchen that handles nuts, eggs, milk, and gluten, though we sanitise thoroughly between batches. Check the full ingredient list if you have severe allergies.
Unlike shelf-stable hot sauces, ours is made fresh with all-natural preservatives and no artificial additives. This means it must be kept refrigerated before and after opening to maintain quality—but the trade-off is incredibly fresh, vibrant flavour!
Use 3-4 tablespoons per pound of protein. Coat chicken wings, lamb chops, or beef thoroughly, then refrigerate for 2-4 hours (or overnight for maximum flavour). Grill, roast, or fry as desired. The sugars in the apricot create beautiful caramelisation.
We source 'funny-looking' or imperfect apricots that would otherwise be rejected by supermarkets solely for their appearance. This reduces food waste while ensuring we get perfectly ripe, flavourful fruit for our sauces.
